The company was named after the Lupin flower because of the flower's inherent qualities and what it personifies: nourishing and nurturing. The Lupin flower is known to nourish the land by adding vital nutrients to the very soil it grows in. And, because the flower has the ability to grow in harsh environments, in often infertile soil conditions, it is also a symbol of strength and determination – capable of bringing about change and making a difference to even the most poor and barren of climes. In addition, the plant's flowers and bean pods have long been used as a source of food and nourishment for both animals and humans; thus protecting and nurturing life.
